Zebra DS8178 is a high-performance wireless handheld scanner designed to deliver superior speed and reliability in retail, industrial and supply chain environments. It stands out for its ability to instantly scan virtually any 1D, 2D and Digimarc barcode, even if it is damaged, poorly printed or displayed on a digital screen. It features a high-resolution 1280x960 pixel image sensor, offering Standard Range and High Density scan range options. One of its most versatile features is its two interchangeable power options, which can be changed at any time: the PowerPrecision+ smart battery (for up to 65,000 scans) and the PowerCap capacitor (for up to 2,000 scans). The DS8178 connects via Bluetooth 4.0 and is supported by Zebra DNA software, which simplifies device setup and management, ensuring maximum productivity at the checkout and in daily operations.
